North Woolwich is an area situated just behind London City Airport and faces onto the well known Tate & Lyle factory. It was originally an industrial area but is part of the regneration plan of the docks in Newham.

 

North Woolwich is home to many families. It is is fairly disconnected from other areas although connected to the south of the river through the woolwich ferry.

 

North Woolwich has a fair amount of deprivation and is in need of a lot of love. Our hope as a church is to connect particularly with the young people in this area, bringing the light of Jesus to an often forgotten place. 

Royal Docks is a huge area of re-development taking place in Newham. There are thousands of apartments being built on the edge of the Thames and new communities are being formed in the place where the docks once were. This new development hosts coffee shops, gyms and restaurants for people to connect with but has no Christian expression of church yet. That's where we come in!

 

We want to build a fresh community of Christian believers who can connect with those that live in this new area, many of which are young professonals who work in the city of London. 

Beckton is situated just below the A13 next to the Gallions Reach retail park. It hosts hundreds of homes with many families represented from a lot of different nations around the world.

 

Beckton has very little space to connect outside individual homes. Our hope is to connect with children and families throughout this area, showing them the love of Jesus and meeting needs that may be hidden behind front doors.  

The University of East London is situated in the south of Beckton and right next to London City Airport. They see a number of international students coming to study. Although connected to the Stratford campus, there is university accommodation and specific courses taught here.

 

We hope to connect with the students who come onto this campus every day and believe we will see a surge of young people seeking after Jesus. We want to offer support and care to any international students that may have come to study away from their homes and provide a new community for them to be part of through our church.
